Under the auspicies of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, Dr. William Baah-Boateng, fellow of IIAS and lead researcher for the Growth and Economic Opportunities for Women (GrOW) research project funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) had an opportunity to present findings to Human Resource Managers of large scale mining companies. Discussions that followed the presentation centred mainly on ways of getting more women involved in the extractive industry which is a key driver of economic growth in Ghana.
