Prof. Ato Quayson has been elected as Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy

Professor Ato Quayson, Professor of English at New York University (NYU) and a Senior Fellow of International Institute for Advanced Studies (IIAS) has been elected as a Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy in the Modern Languages, Literature and other Media from 1830 section. Corresponding Fellow is the highest honor that the British Academy can bestow on a scholar of international repute not resident in the UK.  The list of Corresponding Fellows stretching from 1904 has included illustrious names such as Professors Claude Levi-Strauss, Noam Chomsky, Joseph Stiglitz, Judith Butler, Martha Nussbaum, Kofi Agawu and Mahmood Mamdani, among many other scholars.
